When HEI Hotels & Resorts and Gatehouse Capital were building the industry-setting W Hotel in Hollywood, Macy + Associates was engaged as the agency of record for a full-scale creative and public relations campaign from pre-construction through to the opening. During a 12-month span, the value of press received exceeded 12 million worth of coverage. The integrated campaign included a national public relations campaign; a local and regional advertising (print, online & outdoor) campaign; special events from exclusive affairs for 50 to 500; a televised celebrity-studded grand opening; and a nationally broadcasted outdoor concert featuring Depeche Mode for 15,000 in conjunction with Jimmy Kimmel Live. The agency also scripted and produced the creation of the brand-building ‘Visionary Series’ film shorts, and a dynamic new sales-focused website with an e-campaign that conveyed the singular lifestyle sell of The Residences at W Hollywood.
