Gardens on El Paseo

The Gardens on El Paseo was a new upscale, outdoor shopping destination being developed on El Paseo, the “Rodeo Drive of Palm Desert”, at a time when the local residential population was deemed too seasonal to support year-round retail experience – especially one as high end as The Gardens. The agency was retained to develop all of the branding and marketing materials related to the retail leasing of the specialty and lifestyle center, in addition to consumer-targeted materials. The logo the agency developed set the tone for the entire center, encapsulating the dramatically beautiful landscape and the natural materials. Pre-Opening, the agency received positive press in all local and regional publications including cover stories, plus national attention with illustrations and a positive article in the Wall Street Journal. The agency also orchestrated well-attended on-site events during construction for brokers attending ICSC. Upon completion, an outdoor, print and broadcast advertising campaign was launched, as well as an extensive public relations campaign. The program resulted in 100% lease up of the retail space, and a highly successful grand opening for 1,000 influential guests from the community. The Gardens on El Paseo continues to enjoy its role as the highly preferred gathering and shopping destination with leading retailers including a couture Saks Fifth Avenue, Tiffany’s, Louis Vuitton, Kate Spade, Coach, William Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Anthropologie and Tommy Bahama Boutique and Restaurant, to name a few.
